Over thirty Troop 1201 scouts ventured off into the Angeles National Forest this weekend on two independent backpacks. Fifteen scouts, led by Mr. Roth, tackled Bear Creek and were lucky to see 2-snakes and a Fox. Seventeen scouts, led by Mr. Georgieff, split into two separate hiking parties taking the two trails up to Hoegee's Camp where they met and camped together with several other troops from the area. Both groups enjoyed great hiking weather on Saturday and dodged most of the heat that showed up on Sunday. Thanks to all who participated and we look forward to other hikes in the coming months.-- Scoutmaster Cliff
